This isn't a major issue with the movie or anything, but I think this scene becomes frikkin hilarious when you remember how fast these ships are going. (I mean I assume they're going fast because they're designed for interstellar travel and trying to outrun each other). Once Leia starts flying back to the ship, she'd need to be traveling at a significant percentage of lightspeed just to catch up.
