Long story short I have been calling them up to cancel my service (because they are $10 a month more then the other 2 options in my area, despite the fact they were $5 less when I was with the company they bought), and for the last 3 times the following has happened:

1) Transferred me to the north west division who is unable to cancel my service (I am in the north east)
2) Got the "we are currently off hours" message despite the fact it was over an hour before they officially closed
3) Had the woman tell me I needed to talk to their sales department to negotiate a new contract then hung up on me

Gonna try calling them again tomorrow during my lunch break, but I get the feeling that it isn't going to go much better. I already canceled my automatic payments and notified my bank to block them from charging my account so they aren't getting any more money for me. This is just so I don't have to deal with some credit agency.

Eh, call them and say thay there is a major problem with your payment and that you need to department that can handle adding pick ups to your area, so that you can verify the money being released and then once you have them cancel the pick ups and resume payment if you want.

My garbage company isn't the most expensive in my area (they're the 2nd most out of 5) but they nickel and dime the hell out of me so they so expensive.

I pay $40 a month. I'm limited to five 13 gallon trash bags (cannot use bigger bags. We tried and they fined us at first, then they refused to accept them). It's $5 each bag over the limit. Recycling is free but if you want cardboard recycled that won't fit in the box they give you (2'x 2'), it's $5 for that

Last week, I had to do some major cleaning. 14 bags went out. Not looking forward to this bill

We did in where I lived in VA.

You pay one way or another though. If its not a monthly bill its in your taxes.
