The executive director, assistant director, and the director of our branch office have been here longer than I have. The ED has been here 15 years, the AD has been here 14, and the Branch Director has been here 11. But after that, I'm the most senior staff person... I haven't even been here 3 years.

All of the turnover is actually a really big problem tbh, it sucks

part of it is just bad leadership (the big boss in particular) but I think that's part of a larger problem of having an entire leadership team that hasn't had any fresh faces since before Obama was president

i mean this might be a good thing for TC if he ends up being the most experienced

get what you want from the situation (more responsibilities and pay) and then move on when/if youre ready

but yeah doesnt seem like a long term company

there isn't even much of an old guard to turnover; no one has lasted for longer than three years to my knowledge except for the upper management team. the person who is turning over now started in 2016. I started in 2017, but moved into this position in 2018; my predecessor started in 2015. When I started here in 2017, we had a different director of government relations, health policy, and outreach -- they all lasted about 3 years.

My predecessor is now a Public Health Analyst for a nonprofit hospital
One is the ED of a 'social justice institute' at an HBCU
One is the ED of the local Urban League chapter

They're all mostly better and maybe lateral moves at worst, but this last turnover doesnt have a job lined up at all though

everyone tells me I'm being groomed by the big boss to be the next ED when he retires, but I doubt I can stick it out that long
