I think it would be a superhero movie where a Peter Parker like teenager gains an Iron Man like armor.

The teen is a thief before he becomes Mega Man and has to learn how to become a superhero; but hes still a thief, only now he steals the abilities and powers of others.

Im not saying its an accurate representation of the games. Im saying its how Hollywood would represent the games as a movie.

Sadly, Mega Man wouldn't work as a movie.

A film can't capture the trial-and-error feel of finding out which robot master has which robot master's weakness. The loss of interactivity is the downfall of all adaptations of video games, but this one would be hit harder than most because of that.

Also, how many robot masters could you fit in a movie? Surely, we wouldn't sit through Mega Man defeating eight of them. Or maybe they'd montage the deaths of three or four of them. Or maybe we'd begin en media res with Mega Man having already defeated some of them and one robot master in particular living in fear because he knows Mega Man has his weakness.

The Super Mario Bros. movie, there was no excuse in messing up that badly. It's about a hero rescuing a princess from a dragon. That's doable. But a decent Mega Man would be a herculean feat.

I'd rather not. Hollywood is already pretty horrific in its own right.

Just do a trilogy

But yeah, it would work better as a Netflix show. 8 - 10 episodes
