The DNC is the smuggest bunch of losers. They have the right platform, policies people generally support, comic book villain opponents, and generally OK candidates.

Yet look at 2016. I mean geez.

In fact, many are average Americans just trying to get by, who, like us Trump voters, were sick to death of the terrible status quo in Washington.

I'm not sure this author is genuinely concerned about the Democratic Party's ability to win!

While the DNCs leadership is just as fanatically left-wing as Vermont democratic-socialist senator Bernie Sanders, most of them cannot afford to be good, democratic socialists. Theyve all been bought out by the neoliberal interests on Wall Street.

X Doubt

Thats probably for the best from the Republican perspective, because Gabbard is likely the only Democratic candidate at this point who could give President Trump real problems in 2020.

An insane take with absolutely nothing to back it up.

Its too bad that she and Trump dont get along, as shed make a great VP choice for Trump. The combination of Trump and Gabbard would blow up the permanent bipartisan fusion party while protecting the interests of ordinary Americans, like us.

I am concerned for the author's mental well-being.

doesn't mean they won't do anything they possibly can to draw support away and to certain nominees, whether it's promoting coverage on particular nominees or having a control bias set in via super delegates

Well if Brandon J. Weichert from spectator.us said so, I guess it's true!

Also

So, it is perplexing to see the corrupt Democratic party bar Gabbard from the upcoming Democratic party presidential debate.

She wasn't barred from it so much as she just didn't meet the requirements all the other candidates had to meet

Since the 2016 elections and the complete failure of polls to accurately predict what happened, I've seen more and more people take this approach of "It's not that MY candidate isn't popular! It's that they're being held back!" They can't fathom the idea that the vast majority of the country just doesn't want what's being sold, so instead it must be a conspiracy.

Because what you're seeing is a party split not unlike the Tea Party Republicans from years ago. The reason people here are anti Biden is because they fundamentally disagree with the current Democratic platform and are seeking to rewrite it to fit their agenda.

Biden squeaks by, Republicans hold the Senate easily, Biden does nothing, blood wave in 2022, increasingly obviously senile Biden loses to Tom Cotton or some other MAGA chud in 2024.

They see it as the opposite. The best time for a party shake up in their mind is when going up against the historically unpopular incumbent. If things are going relatively well, against somebody who isn't super aggressively hated, it's a much harder sell to push a significantly different agenda.

It's why there are so many Democrats running in the primary, because for a lot of them this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make president with an agenda that would otherwise get rejected.

If you get a choice between moderate or Trump?

That's kind of the choice right now. Americans are reeling from the fallout of electing the far right, independents would rather stay home than elect the far left and see what chaos that would bring.

It's effectively choosing Biden or Trump though. I'm not saying Biden is better than the choices (he's not), but Trump has a literal cult at his beck and call. He's galvanized the trash of the country to go vote for him. 2016 was very high turnout despite a huge amount of people staying home.

Are any of the candidates proposing going to war with China? Because short of making landfall and forcing them to change their entire industrial process, no Democratic president is going to have any significant impact on climate change. Sure, they might show up to a Summit and say a bunch of great sounding audio clips and then sign a non-binding agreement, but if you're really seriously implying that we are out of time and we need to act, then there's functionally no difference between Biden or Bernie.
