-Back in 1998 my friend borrowed me Metal Gear Solid, I played for about and hour and thought it was dumb that I had to sneak around and didn't play it again for another 12 years.

-I bought that Stars Wars RPG game everyone loves back when it came out, I played the first fight a few times and hated the combat so I never played it again.

-I bought Fallout NV when it came out and heard it was super buggy so I decided to wait until I tore off the plastic wrapping and play....the plastic is still on there to this day.

-I can't remember if I bought Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube or if I was just thinking about it but I heard that it played different than REmake which I loved so I never got into it.

- Putting in 260 hours in Dark Souls, trying out diffrent builds and seeing which one would click, but never did because it really is a complete shit game.

- Never getting 100% in GTA San Andreas because of the glitched San Fierro photo op missions.

I was a dumb naive overly polite young kid (well, I still am most of those things). My uncle was dating a girl, she had an SNES, I decided to bring all my SNES games out there ("because I like games so she probably likes games, too"). My mom never tried to stop me or anything, I must have given up at least 40 or 50 SNES games.

I wonder if my uncle still has those or if he sold them off or something. I should probably ask.

bought the gamecube with my self-earned teen money for re4 even though i already had a ps2 with dozens of games.

it ended up being one of the most whored out game in history and by the end of the gen i ended up with like 5 GC games.

Brought COD Infinite Warfare deluxe on the first day solely to play the Modern Warfare remake. I put less than 2 hours into the game.

I wish I didnt avoid RPGs for so long. I started gaming with the NES but never purchased and got into an RPG until the Xbox (KOTOR.) Loved it so much I decided to go back and play the classics I missed starting the Final Fantasies.

Trading my Dreamcast for pokemon cards

Bending, melting, doing whatever to my pokemon silver GB cart so it would "fit" in the GBA port of my DS

Importing a game called "ninja jajaramu" from Japan, paying 2-3x the price, thinking it was a sequel to Ninja: Shadow of darkness which I loved so dearly. It was terrible

Buying each new Souls game as it came out despite spending 2 hours at most on the previous entry
