Not trolling but I didn't know blu rays are different from 4k HDR movies. Sony kinda slipped up here they created this nee format.

My xbox one X was able to play it but now I'm curious does anyone here even own a dedicated 4k player?

Well I tried to compare the qaulity of the xbox one X HDR 4k movie with the blu ray version on my ps4 and yea it looks better on X. I'm just surprised I didn't know about this new format either : /

I bought Godzilla king of monsters yesterday and was confused when I saw the blu ray version and a 4k UHD version...I was like uh?

I never really understood that it was a new format either. When you buy a movie nowadays, it seems they all come in a dvd/bluray/4k/ digital combo pack. Idk why they need to include all the formats in one box but whatev.

Typically, 4K discs only come with the movie and maybe an extra or two because they want to use all of the space for the movie. The discs themselves dont have that much extra storage capability. Thus, extra Blu ray discs are used to hold the extras, which arent usually made in UHD anyway.
