It has a lot of character. It gave us man buns, freeform dreadlocks, undercuts, the rise and fall of dubstep, trap music, the rise of k-pop, skinny jeans & fitted shirts, people pretending to care more about politics, the peak of social media, and a general increased influence of technology on our lives

Thats what people say about every decade until a few years pass and they are able to differentiate it from what came before and after. This decade is definitely distinct as its own decade. Of course, just like the 00s and 90s, there are separate eras within the decade and different trends/pop culture currents running parallel to each other (late 90s had the nu-metal era, bubblegum pop era, and skater pop-punk eras all going at once) so when its the present day it seems less focused, but with distance it all gets clearer.

Early 2000's I was 10 to 20 years old starting from the year 2000.

I'm nostalgic towards that era in gaming the GBA came out that year and I was heavy into portable gaming back then, collected and played dozens of games good times. Besides gaming which was probably at its peak for me through the end of the 2000's everything else was meh I wasn't to social back then and I just wanted to finish high school.

No way to say for sure, but I know that the current bi-lighting trend (two colored lights on different sides of the room) for music videos and movies and TV really appeals to me. One of my favorite mainstream pop aesthetics in the past few decades.

The boom of video game YouTube in the very early 10s was really fun, thats already changed so much that its unrecognizable today.

The comeback of high-wasted pants on girls with midriff is definitely one of my favorite parts of mainstream fashion lately, as well as the minimal/natural makeup look.

Greyish lavender and light purple (my favorite color) had a big moment last year, thanks to that coming into style I was able to stock up on shirts in that color hahaha, gonna miss it if it goes out of style.

Really gonna miss 2010s synthwave music and culture, tons of fun with that.

Hip hop had a big boom in creativity this decade too, with the death of the bling era from last decade. Now theres weird fusions of ambient, jazz, metal, all sorts of weird spins on the hip hop genre now plus more interesting concept albums and stuff.

Hmm. I guess the most I will miss are social media before all the censorship that started last year.

At least the 2000s still had a lot of physical media. Now a great deal of things are digital or online. The knowledge that things are online and/or can be accessed from your mobile device anywhere has also changed consumption I believe.

Just a few tunes and videogames from the ps2/gc/Xbox era where they didn't need to be patched constantly and use my anus as an ATM

Middle school, high school and the first year of my service. I didn't have many if any friends during school itself but I loved that time, zero responsibilities besides doing the dishes and taking the trash out once a week, and I was always learning something.

It's when all the GTA3 generation GTA games came out, too >_>
