No, but Verdun has a Blackadder Easter Egg. That's why I said, 'Bugger' earlier.

This is what always astonishes me about iconic British TV shows. Fawlty Towers, Mr. Bean, The Young Ones etc. I assumed they ran for half of a decade at the least, with tens of episodes, but the reality is that they had a dozen episodes or so in total over the course of a year or two.

Was never a big fan of the cartoon tbh, the whole appeal is that there's a real, grown man acting like this.

Yeah, I was surprised when I looked up Faulty Towers on wikipedia some years ago and saw that they only made 6 episodes in 1975 and another 6 episodes in 1979.
Mr. Bean had 15 episodes in almost 6 years.
The Young Ones had 12 episodes.
Blackadder had 4 season with 6 episodes each.
When I was younger and watched them on the TV, it felt like they all had so many more episodes.

Oh, I was just reminded of that my parents greatly enjoyed Keeping Up Appearances. I wonder if it too had like fifteen episodes over five years...
40 episodes plus four specials between 1990 and 1995? That's surprisingly prolific.
On a sadder note, R.I.P, Clive Swift.

Damn, that's cold. I'm sure that to some degree, that's saying that you look friendly - very few mugs are as happy and welcoming as that of Mr. Bean.

Was never too hot on that one, especially since my mum's partner is the sort of person who puts on a show he likes, laughs like a fucking moron whenever the laugh track comes on, and then spends the next two hours parroting lines while laughing at himself like an asshole. Keeping Up Appearances was one of those shows, and I well and truly got my fill of that when I was a teenager.

Are You Being Served? is a permanent classic, though. Definitely got worse over time, but goddamn that's a goofy, snappy show.

My dad loved that show. I liked Are You Being Served better, which aired right after Keeping Up Appearances in my area. Always funny to hear Mrs. Slocombe talk about her pussy.

I was going to say that, but I wasn't sure how on rails this topic was.
But ya, some classic stuff in that show for sure.

The Young Ones had its moments.

But tbh, I've always been a real fan of Upstairs Downstairs.
