Vader definitely got stronger with the Force after the incident in ep 3, but had that incident never happened, I believe Anakin would've become much more powerful than Vader eventually became, if that makes sense.

Actually, from what I understand, the force is not tied down to a physical body (as we have seen a few times in the series), even once dead, with no body, a force user can still be very powerful it seems.

For the dark side pain/anger/fear all power the force, and I would imagine Vader was in constant pain, was always very angry, and possibly afraid as well still.....so it probably added to his strength on the dark side.

For someone supposedly so strong in the force what did he ever do with it? Star Wars is kinda dumb in that theyre always like omg this person is so strong in the ways of the force but in the films that equates to them being able to use some mild telekinesis and being okay at lightsaber battles

He did do that force choke from over the hologram call and by then his authority was so absolute he probably didn't need to demonstrate it.

I also consider power levels are relative. So higher level more evenly matched skills wouldn't necessarily look spectacular like a child prodigy mopping the floor with a bunch of scrubby younglings would.

From what supplementary materials has shown that suit Vader wears was designed to actually HINDER him so that he doesn't kill Palpatine as easily.

Having less of a physical body reduced his midichlorian count so yes but this is also compensated by living in constant agony and self-hatred as a fuel source.
