Like Fox getting X-men and Fantastic Four and Sony Pictures getting Spiderman. It's kinda too bad Disney/Marvel and Sony made this partnership to begin with. I think the series would have kept tanking under Sony and Disney could have made them a decent offer to get the the film rights back. Now due to the success of the new series,largely thanks to Disney. There's no way Sony will give it up or sell it for anything reasonable now.

I get the feeling that Disney feels that they don't need Spider-Man after Captain Marvel made a billion dollars. Sony feels they don't need Disney after Venom and Spider-Verse did so well.
