She's only poor because she blows all her money on new clothes, eating out and stupid pop culture plastic shit all the time. This isn't to say this is the case for everyone. Certainly isn't the case for me, a disable person who makes due on $1000 a month and whatever I make selling shit online and through side jobs. People can stop smoking coldTurkey. It is difficult but it is still 100% a matter of choice. People have known that cigarettes are bad for them for hundreds of years. There is no excuse for not knowing, because the evidence and science has been there. If people choose to ignore it and listen to the tobacco industry well that's really no different than anti-vaxxers who choose to believe non reliable sources as well. Just a yesterday I witnessed a junkie take her probably 2 year old daughter by the hand, say "come on baby time for a cigarette," take her outside of the building and lit up and blew smoke right at the kid. I dont think there is anything we can reasonably assume about the development of that kid. I was around cigarette smoke constantly as a child, and I never liked it. I am now an adult and I have very healthy habits including not smoking (cigarettes >_> ) Were your parents also a single mother junkie that was more concerned about her next high and her smokes than actually raising her child? That doesnt include insurance premiums, lighters, or even the gas used for special trips just to get cigs.
