I walk into a subway, I smell the bread and I get happy.

only thing I recognize is its kind of expensive for a meal

because Firehouse Subs, Publix, and everywhere else is better

and appropriately priced

Its okay but you can get a better sub at a local place or the store even. Its not bad its just not that special.

Cost for quality...if it tastes better a higher price is justifiable. Lets be real, even though its fairly cheap, the quality of their ingredients doesnt hold up compared to other sub shops.

im saying subway is expensive for what you get, and firehouse is expensive, but its quality is better.

Subway has continually raised prices ever since they discontinued the $5 footlong. They seem to be on the decline, probably because of this. People expect fast food to be cheap and it just got to be too expensive.

This, except your 5 dollars is our 5 in england. For that price, id get a proper meal at a cafe. It would only cost around 6-7 with a cup of tea.

Unless you live in Hawaii, where Firehouse Subs, Publix, etc. don't exist.

We have Blimpie, but they closed a bunch of locations years ago, and the only location I know that's still open is somewhere near the Airport.

$5 footlongs were the shit. But Subway is mediocre and so is Jimmy John's.

They used to be my one of my favorite fast food places, but they keep raising the prices. Even the cheap subs are up to like $7 now.

I get better tasting subs at the supermarket than what Subway offers.

Subway was awesome 15 years ago.

Last time I went to one, my sandwich tasted like tomatoes, and literally I watched them not put tomatoes on it.

How the hell? Did they drop a tomato in the lettuce or whatever and just pick it back out without doing anything about it?

Yea I know it is real meat but its the same taste and texture as those bags of frozen precooked chicken (which is likely what it is). If im already paying 7+ tax for that I might as well throw in the extra 4 bucks and get better quality meat elsewhere.

I still occasionally go into Subway and get a sub absolutely stuffed with veggies with some Sriracha sauce. They had jalapeno bread a little while ago that was pretty damned good, too.

no it isn't. there is a single ingredient in them that also sometimes goes in Yoga mats but its something that goes in food...if anything, the narrative should be "yoga mats are made of bread".
