In fact, the only Sentai I've seen in its entirety was Lupinranger vs Patranger. And its pretty decent. People keep saying ToQ would never work in the West, which makes me a bit frustrated at the whole 2-season thing that started with the Nick deal. Pre-Nick, they would have found a way to make it work. But LuPat has always seemed interesting. During the original airings I dropped off shortly into Wild Force, picked up again when SPD was out but time slots were horrible and I dropped off again. I've been collecting the dvd sets so my list will likely change over time. I'm a fan of their sentai counterparts as well. Just this week I got the sets for Jetman, Megaranger, and Timeranger. A few sentai series over the last decade or so I feel lack the charm of the 90s and it shows in the Power Rangers adaptations. This episode was huge as it was in Prime Time, and I found this fight to be epic (still do), but it's plagued by problems. The first yes being the Putties' weakness. Next, who the hell was playing Trini in this fight? They pose and Trini looks like she's waiting for a cue first. Then they run off and Trini takes forever to get up and was likely the last off screen but then appears first next to Jason. Then as the fight begins she's last to move again. Towards the end of the fight in the group shot you can see Jason posing in the back and the Putty looking down at his chest like he's about to blow when they should still be fighting. Then they run off and Trini takes forever to get up and was likely the last off screen but then appears first next to Jason. Then as the fight begins she's last to move again. Towards the end of the fight in the group shot you can see Jason posing in the back and the Putty looking down at his chest like he's about to blow when they should still be fighting. Even with the problems, the whole arrival of Zed is easily one of the highlights of MMPR, and even all these years later that kind of dramatic shift has rarely been replicated. And the moments when its more than that are hype like Time Force, RPM, Lost Galaxy and In Space.
