It goes both ways

On the left you have wealthy politicians generalizing everyone who isn't on food stamps as "the rich 1%" and trying to raise taxes while making themselves exempt. On the right you have wealthy politicians generalizing everyone on food stamps as freeloading leeches and try to take away their benefits while lining their own pocketbooks.
