I like the site, but I feel like so many of the people there are guys and yet they act like they're all at a wake sulking and commiserating about life. Once in a while is ok, but it's over and over every day. It just feels depressing and weak.

I guess the only other thing that's annoying is this obsession over likes or what they iconify as that green arrow. It just seems childish and an unapologetic appeal to wanting superficial approval therapy on the internet.

It's a bit jarring experiencing these odd social communities on the internet. They seem so unlike the real world. It's as if a bunch of like minded people found each other and become a hivemind.

Other than that though, I like browsing the pictures. It's just that the commenters seem like they're living in hell. I couldn't stand thinking negatively that way day in and day out. It's almost as if they're infecting me with their anemia.

I dont mean to sound like a dick, it just seems like theyre soppy humans just like wet mops posting happy stuff but a steady set of tragedies. Like derp muh doggo died. Or saying good bye to a friend for 15 years. I mean goddam bro... I'm the doggoest loving mother fucker, but how many dogs yall done lost? And every day someone is beating cancer.

I guess it's just that I'm inundated with it that it feels unreal and too much. I'm a happy person. I avoid unhappy situations like the plague. I like baby cows and animals and happy things. I like science and discovery and nature. I'm not into this whole social brohug bullshit. I guess they need it?

Even the bros at my gym arent that bro. Anywho... I'm too tired to explain myself right. I don't wanna come off like I'm insensitive. I have empathy for people, I just don't like to wallow in it day in and day out.

I never have a problem with people being supportive and caring with each other. Being annoyed by it seems like a result of being brainwashed into thinking that sort of thing is weird. Our society is toxic and ill.

But insular groups on the internet definitely do become hive minds, and that gets creepy.
