mrduckbear 08/11/19 9:54:41 PM #1:	Do you think the police should get involved in this? - Results (1 vote) Yes, why are they letting this nutjob getting away with this? 100% (1 vote) 1 No. no one got hurt. it's not a big problem for the police to get involved 0% (0 votes) 0 A Black Man and his son were AMBUSHED by a White Man on a HORSE who was carrying and swinging a ROPE as he CHASED the man and made threatening gestures at them while they traveled down a Texas Road!! James Ragland said he and his son Judah, had a "terrifying experience" and a terroristic threat from a white man with a rope He's a former columnist for Dallas Morning News and said he was dropping off his nephew at a relative's house when they came upon a family on horseback: 2 children and 2 adults. As Ragland approached them with his car, one man, later identified as Grant Williams, steered his horse directly in their path as his other family members went past but he stopped and glared at them Then he blocked the road and faced t hem down as Ragland said "I kid you not, like a gunman in the wild west" adding his son and nephew grew more nervous. He said "I'm perplexed, but not yet alarmed. But then the guy guides his horse to the driver's side and stops. i glance over and he's just staring me down. I roll the window down, thinking he had something ot say but he just sizes us up. I finally say "nice horse" The man says "Thank ya. These are texas roads" Grant then pointed out that his rental car was from California and then yelled "These are TEXAS roads" He told him it was a rental and the man yells louder the same words BUT THESE ARE TEXAS ROADS" and that's when Ragland says "What the f* does that mean" The man then reached back and Ragland thought he was reaching for a gun and jets off But after dropping off his nephew and picked up his son, he traveled along the same road the man is BACK. This time he CHARGES at them and said "I sped up to avoid him, he pulled alongside our car and chased us for a ile while yelling and throwing the f you sign before reaching for something on his right side" His son begged him to drive faster because of the "angry white dude on horseback" He stopped the car right in front of him to snap a few pics of him before leaving as his son was terrified they were gonna be shot Ragland gave police his picture but 3 days later, he said the police didn't take them seriously and wrote "i've learned a lot in short order how injustice manifests itself culturally and insitutionally. Since #HarrisonCountySheriff's office won't do it its job, i will take other legal steps to protect the public and hold an untruthful and unrepentant #GrantWilliams accountable". Authorities said that Ragland would have to come back to the police station to make an official police report if he wants them to "do something" Do you think the police should get involved in this?
