How do people here generally like it? I've gotten progressively more into it over the years, partly thanks to how much focus there's been on craft liquids in the past decade.

I'm generally pretty fond of cold brew/nitro cold brew and espresso. My office has some nitro cold brew on tap which is pretty awesome.

My wife also has a moka pot, which is not quite espresso but still great.

I've also started to enjoy cappuccinos quite a bit now, even though I've mostly taken my coffee black in the past.

I like basically every kind of coffee

Cold brew is a nice novelty but I tend to come back to a simple Americano more than anything.

But also Flat White, Cappuccino, Espresso are great

I love it out of the french press, Nespresso is ok

I got a pack of these for my birthday. I really liked them. Instant coffee but better than instant coffee.

Interesting, so you just pour hot water into that and then pour it out through the spout? I have some decent instant coffee that I took on a hiking trip but never ended up using, but this seems like if would also work nicely.

Have you had Kyoto cold brew (slow drip)? It definitely has a different taste compared to standard cold brew from what I've had

I just make instant coffee (Columbian or French roast) then pour some flavored creamer in. I like the International Delight ones, the chocolate & caramel, Oreo, white chocolate mocha, and Cinnabon are my flavors of choice.

If I'm going to a Starbucks, it's generally a white chocolate caramel mocha or some fancy seasonal thing.

Yeah. You have to seal it up and leave it 5 or so minutes to brew.

Never had that before. What kind of different taste?

I used to put flavored creamer in my coffee but I realized it was just extra sugar and calories I didn't need so I just drink it black now. I just use keurig cups and it's fine, coffee all kinda tastes the same to me.

Less heavy on the chocolate notes compared to traditional cold brew. Kind of almost feels like a blend of what you get from cold brew and a pour over or French press.

I like coffee-flavored things. At Starbucks I generally get mocha. Also I like coffee with milk and flavored creamer (basically everything mnk said). Also stuff like coffee ice cream and coffee cupcakes.

But black coffee is gross.

I drink coffee every day, but don't know/understand half the coffee related words used in the opening post.
nitro cold brew?
moka pot?

That said, I use a Keurig machine with a reusable kcup. I typically buy 10-12oz bags or if I am feeling adventurous find a store that has a coffee grinder and select from their bins.
Cream and sugar is a must.

As for a small specialty shops, I've come to be a fan of whiff roasters. They have a million different flavors and I have not had a bad one yet.

I only drink it hot or frozen (like at dunkin donuts, the ice cream variant at dairy queen, or just coffee ice cream).

Nitro cold brew is cold brew with nitrogen added. Think Guinness beer, but coffee. Cold brew just means it was made by soaking the beans in water over a longer period of time rather than using hot water.

A moka pot is a metal pot with two chambers for making espresso-like coffee on a stove top. When you heat it, water from the lower chamber evaporates and gets forced through the coffee grounds and recondenses in the upper chamber.

i used to hate coffee and then after following my coworkers to starbucks every day for coffee and getting a mocha, i guess somewhere along the way i learned to love the taste of coffee. I would just get the mocha to fit in but really I just wanted the chocolate and whipped cream... but then one day i realized i was in it for the coffee.

Now I drink coffee every day. I just genuinely like the taste of it. I don't feel any effects of caffeine, so that's not really why I do it (IE it doesn't wake me up or make me feel energized or anything, and I don't feel any negative effects if i stop drinking it for a few weeks.

My office has a Flavia machine and my favourite is the Ethiopa flavour. It's all free so I don't bother getting Tim Hortons or Starbucks or anything, I just take this free stuff at work. There's definitely lots of flavours that I don't like, and I'm not really sure about the lingo or the difference between types. But typically I drink it black. I don't put cream or sugar in my coffee, that just makes it worse.

At home I have a Keurig machine that I use the Kirkland brand coffee from Costco that I like. I put honey i get from a local beekeeper in that stuff so I guess it's not completely black. I'm not really a fan of brewing a pot of coffee. I certainly don't do any of that grinding or pressed coffee or whatever. I'm living a pretty basic instant coffee life.

Also a reason I like coffee is that I find it very satisfying snack wise - it's a calorie free drink that I love the taste of and I feel absolutely no desire to snack or anything within an hour or so of drinking it. Helps a lot with managing my total daily calorie intake if I have one mid morning and mid afternoon.

I'm all about it. I drink 3-4 cups a day, generally. I have nothing against cream and sugar, but black coffee is my preference. However, I do enjoy flavored coffees a good deal, such as World Market's butter rum coffee they sell in the winter.

I especially love trying local coffees while traveling. The best coffee I've found so far was from North Pole Coffee in Fairbanks, AK. Alaskan coffee in general is top-notch, much like the PNW, but that stuff was especially excellent. They have a full-city roast called Fairbanks Choice that will wake you up like a smelling salt.

Im not a hobbyist, but I absolutely love the taste of coffee. Espresso is good, but Ill usually consume normal coffee with a little milk or something to cool it off. Unfortunately, my body just cannot deal with the caffeine correctly. The rush is good, but about four hours later I want to die.

Even decaf has some in there. Whenever Im tired, I have to give myself a pep talk about drinking water and eating correctly instead of reaching for this stimulant.

Definitely a double-edged sword. It's great for focus and getting through a day with less sleep, but it's very easy to drink too much and feel uncomfortably jittery.

One thing I've noticed is while it makes me more energetic, but it actually feels like a very artificial sort of energy. I've tried running a bit while sleep deprived but after consuming caffeine, and I ended up getting winded very quickly.
