I have just over a year left in the ol Marine Corps and will be starting the process to get back to civilian life and attend school soon. Ill be about 28 by that time.

Any of you guys go to school at an older age or know anyone who else who did? If so how was your/their experience?

I think it really depends on the school you pick. Many state schools are positioned to cater to 'nontraditional' students. If you try to go some where like an Ivy I assume you would stick out like a sore thumb and it would be weird, but I had a huge age range of students in pretty much all of my classes

I restarted college when I was 25 after my stint in the Army. I had a great time, I lived in the on campus apartments for graduate and non traditional students so I didn't have to put up with living with a bunch of 18 year olds.
