I want to say like 15 to 20 percent. McDonald's cheated me yesterday. I order two hamburgers but I only got one. I didn't check my order because they already took forever giving my food and I didn't want to hold up the other people so I just assumed it was correct.

Maybe 10% or less. It doesn't happen that often to me anymore, but I rarely eat like McDonald's and the other big ones. Mostly stuff like Chick-fil-A and Popeyes. Five Guys too but that's a step above the typical fast food.

Not even that. It's people in their 20s or early 30s not making sure things are as written, and part of that I get is just related to pressure to get things done as fast as possible. But I get a lot more ice than the no ice I always ask for.

Oh, and of course some restaurants I don't bother with anymore entirely as a franchise, because their company policy keeps them reusing coming grease longer than they should. So maybe my chicken isn't burnt, but particles in the grease food burn a day or two earlier and rather than replacing it, they kept using that grease so now there's burnt overused grease particles coating my chicken. Joy. :(

But this is mostly because I no longer go to the McD that hung out around 30% or the Sonic that was straight up 100%.

Let's just say the reason that there's a "Combo Number" ordering system is as much for the employees as the customers. If you start to deviate from that in any way expect the average employee to screw up the order.

All the time. Probably 50/50. No matter how many times I say no mayonnaise (fucking stuff likely tastes worse than Satan's semen) and no vegetables, they'll put them on it. The vegetables I can live with, the mayonnaise pisses me off to no end.

Like 2%. There's on McDonald's an hour away that's notorious for messing up but for the most part I've never had an issue anywhere.

Yep, no mayo was the main reason that McD had such high rates and was the sole reason that Sonic was at 100%.

The McDs closest to my house was like 75% so I stopped going. Chick fil A its very rare.

When i order at the counter or drive through, probably 20%

When i order at a kiosk or online though, it's legit been 0%

I can only assume the problem is the person inputting the order.

Places often forget 'no tomato' so I just dont bother anymore and take it off myself

If it's anywhere except Chick Fil A, my order is wrong probably 50% of the time.

I don't think Chick Fil A has ever messed up my order, even if I'm ordering food for an office full of people.

It blows people's minds when they hear you dont want mayo. And if you thi k that's bad, try being a no cheese guy. Its hell trying to get my order right because not wanting cheese breaks the laws of nature.

I order the number 1 burger, which is a cheese burger, and I say no cheese, and they're like wait, what? No cheese? But...its a cheese burger. I've seen arguments in the kitchen with 4 foot tall women shaped like barrels over the order, how its impossible to not have cheese on the burger, that it's a cheese burger.

Easily less than 5%. But Im usually getting a pretty simple order by myself and I dont make any special requests. Its been quite a while since Theyve screwed up my order.

Haha. Yeah I do see a lot of the women preparing the food who look like that. Some of the McDonalds in NYC seem to have all female hispanic staff and many of them look amazing.

This is when you just leave. Regardless of whether it's obstinance or stupidity, if they won't make your order there's no real need to be there.

But yeah, at that bad McD, another common mistake was giving me a sausage egg and cheese when I ordered a sausage biscuit with egg.

McD cheese was awful in those days.

I usually have more issues with the basic hamburger in fast food chains having a separate, cheaper price. Half of locations pretend the price doesn't exist, and that you have to pay for the cheese. Over time I got worn down and now if a place charges for cheese I just end my order there. If they don't charge for cheese that doesn't go on a hamburger then I order an extra side item.

Probably about 5%. It's relatively rare, but then again I do know where all the best locations are around town.

Wendy's gets it wrong maybe 3% of the time; McDonalds, like 5%; Taco Bell, like 10%.

i would say rarely (1-5% of the time) someone announced my number at taco bell. i looked in the bag and it wasn't my order had to tell the cashier that it wasn't mine think they figured out the misunderstanding had to wait a bit longer for my original order.

Under 5%. I have very easy orders, because I'm a picky eater. I'm not too much of weirdo to hate burgers, etc., but I don't want pickles on my burger or mayo on a chicken sandwich. I usually just order chicken nuggets/tenders, which are basically idiot proof. That being said, I recently was given a fish sandwich from McDonalds, I imagine because "number six" sounded like "filet of fish," so it's not totally foolproof.

Yeah "no ____" orders seem to be the most common messed up orders.

Hell, at some places I could swear "no ____" yields you extra ____.

Some employees dont understand the difference between a hamburger and a cheeseburger either. Ive seen some confused that I didnt want cheese on a plain hamburger.

cashier: okay

other worker who was involved in the transaction: okay, one poppy bagel with cream cheese?

like how did the worker hear poppy when i said everything bagel?

I usually only order for myself or maybe one other person so pretty rare to get anything wrong. Though I usually just get stock orders without any special changes (unless its in-n-out)

When I lived at home and would pick up food for 4, was considerably more likely to have something missing

Hardly ever.

I've eaten a decent amount of takeaway food over the years, and i've had orders wrong maybe five or six times ever.
