As far as gangland shootings go, they tend to be over criminal elements and not just killing for the sake of killing. When innocent people do get caught in the crossfire, it's considered accidental or collateral damage. The intent of the killing has a hand in it being called a "mass shooting". Theres another Walmart on Siegen not far from there that's in a shopping center where a lot of people prefer to go specifically to not go to the Burbank one. For reasons like this. They just threw the mass shooter label on this prematurely because of recent events but honestly it's probably someone got into a dumb argument with someone then pulled a gun out and fired. Source: I live in BR and tbh those kind of shootings arent exactly uncommon. A mass murder would require four or more fatalities. Of the 250 or so mass shootings this year so far, about twenty have had four or more fatalities. Approximately half had no fatalities.
