24 y/o Connor Betts was the gunman wearing body armour and a mask and earmuffs when he massacred 9 people at a nightclub..and in a shocking turn of events, his 21 y/o sister, MEGAN and her boyfriend were among the victims in the attack!!

She and her boyfriend were found shot dead just nearby the Bar before he began opening fire inside.

It isn't known if he was out to kill his sister but the majority of the victims were african american men as police are still trying to find a motive if it was racial or personal as they have not released the information on whether her bf was african american as well.

Police were able to stop the shooting almost immediately as they were already nearby when the shooting occurred as the FBI is currently combing his home to find clues..

There may be clues if this was a copycat case in El Paso where 21 y/o Patrick Cruisas railed against "race mixing" and went on a rampage at a Walmart 9 hours from where he lives and killed 20 people.

I would say he was simply an equal-opportunity murderer.

Well when we find out who the sisters boyfriend is we might get some understanding of his motivation... Since apparently he was killed with her.

Ahh... Duckbear race baiting as always. Obviously he went there to kill his sister, possibly intended to also kill his sisters boyfriend, and then didnt care how many other people he killed around them.

It seems likely that her boyfriend was black and thats why a lot of people around them were black and thats why there was an abnormally high number of black people among the dead. However, we wont know for sure until more information is revealed.

So you don't even know the boyfriend's race but you're already suggesting that it was motivated by mixed race relationships? Not to mention that'd be VERY fast for a copycat.

Otherwise the released fatalities (per NBC) are listed as 1 white female (the sister), 3 black females, 2 white males (aged 25 and 30), and 3 black males (aged 25, 38, and 57).

Not for nothing, but at this point I'm not even sure that the guy was confirmed to be her boyfriend. CNN, NBC, and WaPo just have listed him as a "male companion." The time-line (according to the WaPo article) provided by the police chief notes that "Betts arrived in a 2007 gray Toyota Corolla with his sister and a "male companion." At some point, the three separated." The police chief notes (in a direct quote): "What they did during that time they weren't together is a question mark."

The fact that they drove down together just makes the story weirder.

Updates to the story:

-News outlets can't seem to agree on whether the shooter was targeting his sister.

-Contrary to Duckbear's claims, the male companion was supposedly wounded rather than killed. He's still in the hospital. CNN supposedly talked to unnamed sources in law enforcement who say that the companion didn't know about the attack in advance. (Which is weird to even think he might, considering he got shot by the shooter. I would assume somebody who knew in advance would avoid it altogether.)

-CNN sources also claim to have found some of the shooter's writings which talk about wanting to kill people.

-Some media outlets -- including WaPo -- have claimed that the shooter had drawn up a "hit list" while in high school. Several media outlets also apparently claim that he also had a "rape list." Two classmates -- speaking under anonymity (and I can't remember where I saw this reference) -- claim that the shooter had been suspended after those lists were found.

-The google preview data for a WaPo article mentions and ex-girlfriend who claims that the shooter heard voices and talked about "dark, evil..." (this is where it cuts off). However, when I tried to load the article, I couldn't anything about it in the story itself. I'm not sure if it was in the story originally but was later removed because it was either debunked or they couldn't verify it. The Toledo Blade has an article discussing the ex-girlfriend (I assume it's the same one) which doesn't mention voices, but it claims that the shooter was obsessed with mass shootings and made frequent trips to gun ranges. She also claims that the shooter told her that he was bi-polar.
