Yeah. Just wiped it off with a wet paper towel and you're good.

It's not this exactly but something similar:

With flank steak, your best bet is to get a nice big fire going and sear it both sides. It's sufficiently thin that you don't really need to cook it beyond the searing phase.

Well it takes forever to heat up but that also means it stays hot forever, so you can get it up and put food on it and it'll keep the food warmer longer.

Also it doesn't technically need to be washed ever. I will probably scrub it with some warm water anyway but for most cases you can get a damp towel and just wipe it down.

Also you can use it as a cutting board and you can cut food on it while it's cooking. You can't really scratch it.

It's otherwise similar to cast iron that doesn't rust.

Eggplants came out the best of the three. The plantains actually tasted fine but they stuck to the salt really hard so I had to constantly turn them.
