This is probably at least the 30th wave of this debate. It happened to a gay night club, children, at a movie theater, at a concert to name a couple of waves. And each time it cooled off after a while is that gonna happen again? Or will something actually happened?

Nope. You shoulnt blame the knife for being too sharp. You should blame the person weilding it for cutting too many vegitables for his stir-fry.

If Sandy Hook or the congresswoman getting shot didn't help. Not much will. I think only chance is if 100+ politicians die in a shooting. Or if all the GOP Supreme Court justice get gunned down and a democrat is president. Those might create some change. Regular folk dying don't mean much.

I was estimating on the low side. I don't keep up with every shooting.

Yes, why? Is it the guns fault for doing the job it was intended to do?

They all create some change. Just not preventative change.

Nope. Republicans know they won. They will allow democrats to talk about change for a week or two while refusing to actually do anything and wait for it to blow over. Nothing will be done. Ever.

What a dumb response. That's how analogies work in general. Whether or not you think it's a valid point here doesnt matter in regards to that.

I love the fact that we Americans can buy guns, I respect the belief people have for carrying a fire arm, in the sense of a self defense scenario where it might be both prudent and practical to have a fire arm at the ready. At home or wherever.

Having said that I do not own a gun, have not thought about purchasing one till these last two years.
