Lots of a gaming youtube guys are like "WHOAWHAOW WOW IT'S PETEY AND THE BUTT! AND Checkout this awesome zoopwhoop lookathis! CRAZY SHIT!" with constant camera cuts sucking up to big companies And then there is the wave of neckbeardy critics saying everything is shit and sucking up the indie devs. So you get genuine interest in the games from a dude who loves playing games with his buddies and genuine critical thought from a 'witty' critic who hates a lot of shit. Joe is a mix of both which means to some people he is the worst of both and to others he is the best of both --- When the going gets tough, the tough go have a little cry in the corner. I feel like he makes good points on a lot of things but he circles on topics way too much (which I hate in review videos) and yeah his little skits are cringy as shit. Umbrella Corps, Metal Gear Survive, and Fallout 76 are the most entertaining reviews he's ever done, probably because they're super shitty and he put those companies on blast far more than the typical sellout "video game journalist" would. If he raves about a game, i'm still going to be cautious, and if he hates a game i'll probably just watch for the rant factor. Where i do value his reviews highly is when a game is being harshly criticised or overshadowed by another game, but he's pointing out that despite its flaws it's still a fun game and worth a play.
