A Lancaster County PA, Judge Dennis E. Reinaker is pulled over for tailgating and honking at an East Lampter Township officer in an unmarked police car. Dash Cam footage shows the judge using his position of power to get away with out any citation or warning.

man, imagine if someone like me got out of my car immediately and approached the cop in an aggressive manner like that. I'd have 15 bullets in me right now.

The average person who did this would be riddled with bullets.

honorable judge gets to be above the law.

think the honorable judge would comply and sit while whatever happened gets sorted out - ticket or no ticket. there wouldnt be a need to exit the vehicle to confront the on duty officer. the honorable judge takes the citation or warning and be on his way.

Honestly, the judge should be disbarred immediately.
And the cop should face lesser but still meaningful consequences.

If someone who wasn't a judge walked out of their vehicle like that, they'd definitely get yelled at probably get some other charge for disobeying a police officer, but I don't think their race would affect the way they were treated. The guy in this case got special treatment simply because of his profession.

This happened in Brazil I think within the last two years. A judge-type person was pulled over and the agent who pulled him over was exonerated from their position.

Okay, after watching that again. And now realizing why he was pulled over in the first place, I see things a bit differently.

Seems like the Judge gave the cop a little horn blow while passing him. As if in a way of giving someone a high five for...pretrolling the streets. Nice, but doesn't really suggest an equal playing field.

But once the driver door opens and closes, and the vehicle goes out of park and starts moving, during the stop, things should have changed. This would escalate quickly at any other time.

So, it really was a dumb stop to begin with.
But it does expose The Judge to be not so impartial.

I would love to see some of his rulings.

A rather nice portrait of the old boy network in action.

This type of stuff happens all the time, and not just with judges. When I was 18 my dad, who was a cop at the time, gave me a PBA (Police Benevolent Association) sticker for my back window and told me it would keep me from being pulled over 9 out of 10 times, and if I did get pulled in our county to have the officer call him. I never felt right about that so I didn't put it on my car. And I've never used my dad to get out of trouble.

The reason I said what I said was because the judge said something like, youre going to pull me over for blowing my horn?. And if thats the reason he got pulled over, than I would say it was stupid he got pulled over in the first place. Something like that and the cop looking the other way is one thing and I dont give a shit

If it was something like a hit and run, I would feel completely different
