I haven't really seen any of their movies (wait is that moving castle movie theirs? I saw that one), but I find their art style generally appealing. Ni no Kuni was really well done.

Having watched every Ghibli movie, some of the non-Hayao Miyazaki films are less than great, and even a few of his aren't the best, but overall... It has movies that sparked some of my childhood anime watching and even has some things I wish could have been appreciated as much as I do.

Ghibli and Miyazaki are essentially quick fix cures for depressive bouts for me. I can never appreciate them enough.

Good-

-Great movies
-Kimi o Nosete (Carrying You, from Castle in the Sky) is one of the most soulful songs I have ever heard
-Spirited Away is the best movie from the 7 I watched
Will watch the rest at some point

Bad-
-Studio is pretty much dead, with the legendary Hayao Miyazaki retiring. However according to Wikipedia, there is going to be another movie next year, and HM came back to do it. Hope it will be good
-Ghibli Museum was one of the very few disappointing things in my Japan trip.
And I am not talking about the price, which you might get scammed by a travelers agency for something like 10 times the regular price.
It's just...I expected more, I guess I expected a "park" rather than a museum as obviously the name implies. But even for a Museum it was pretty small and barely any rooms. For how hard it is to get a ticket, I expected something legendary, but it was just..meh
