Also, Chris, this is a team based game. With all these people calling HB scum and saying we need him to flip for info, I'm willing to just let you lead and not mayor him. The old me would say screw you, my way. New me thinking he's town doesn't override the team concept. Selfish plays can lose towns games, a la Ben squirreling away scans last game.

And I claimed because after last game, I came into this one thinking a lot of people would want to auto lynch me, so having a confirmable role to prevent that was really nice.

To say I'm unimpressed with HB's play since I claimed is an understatement, and the correct team-based play for me is to allow his lynch. We get more info.

Ulti very early on seemed to be pretty clear he wasn't going to mayor HB though. Even while people were still entertaining he could be town (notably chris - pre claim).

I buy scanning Lolo night 1 though especially. Lea mentioned the "didn't post until day 3" multiple times on day 1. I was planning on voting for Scare on my return if he'd continued to be useless because of the sheer bereft activity of the slot.

So Lea's cop claim makes sense. Last night she posted a list of reads, the top category was "Town" and featured (in order) herself, Ulti, Scare and I. Soon as I saw that I figured she was likely cop and scanned Lolo/Scare and then me, because she had expressed suspicion of me at some point during the first two days and there was no other reason to put us in with the mayor and herself.

So Corrik is backing off the Hider claim, huh. Who would have guessed? So Corrik, what was your reasoning for saying you hid behind Blade if it wasn't true, knowing how that would look if you happened to die without revealing it?

Going back to this lynch sounds like a good idea. I'm inclined to think Corrik is probably not scum with Red, due to the hammer business day 2. I know it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility for Corrik to pull that stunt on a teammate, but it's less likely than it is with any other alignment combination between the two.

You see, when you say you won't lynch Corrik because of his claim, but also won't lynch him for backpedaling his claim, you give him free reign to do whatever he wants and never be suspected. Ulti has won a game or two like that!

I currently do not want to lynch Corrik because of his behavior. I never bought his hider claim to start with because, y'know, Corrik. I've said repeatedly that I'm not gonna believe anything he says about his role until I see his flip.

All that aside, let me repeat my thoughts on Corrik's play so far.

02. Corrik- Despite all the drama, Corrik is hunting scum. He's digging into arguments and looking at facts. I would expect scum Corrik to be more confidently pushing an agenda, to be louder and possibly more obnoxious about how stupid we are for not listening.

I feel like we have much better threads to tug today than lynching Corrik. You're the cop though. I'll defer judgment and we can let him swing today if that's the call you think is right. I'm rusty enough that I'm second guessing all my scum reads all game.
