I've played through the all five of the Soulsborne games, and I'm just baffled as to why I'm doing so freaking poorly lol. Those giant oni looking things are hard for me to kill since they don't get staggered/stunned when you hit them.

Really fun game so far, but damn, I gotta git gud.

My friend had a hard time as well, especially with the first boss.

It's different then Dark souls, you do need to rely on tells from the enemy much more. Also don't just try dodging, always keep running in a circle around many of the bosses, then just dodge if they attack.

The first guy is very easy once you get his attacks down (by first I mean the guy on the ship), both forms actually, but if you charge up your super form (Forget it's name been awhile), you can just hit him down to half health, and then finish him off with the super form attacks (just stay behind him pretty much).

AWesome game though.

Also your not a 14 year old boy that just had a birthday are you? I just gave a PS4 version of Nioh to some parents that bought my extra PSVR setup (at cost) for their sons birthday, so I gave them my PS4 version as a gift (I have it on steam now so didn't need both).

yeah, I just got to the boss on the ship and died. He doesn't seem too bad except that I'm doing like no damage to him lol.

Think it's like the third boss, this vampire chick, ....who was the first hard one for me. That is where I learned to just run in circles, instead of trying to dodge etc. Few tricks like that, also use the environment on alot of them. If your being struck by lightning from the sky, find things to get under etc.

Dark souls I pretty much always could pick up (and blood borne) and be rocking the bosses right away.

I'm more worried about Nioh. I only played it once and it's been awhile, not sure if I'll remember the tricks, which means I'll have to figure em out again. I didn't have a hard time but...so many have...and who knows if it'll be as easy when I go back.

Yeah dodging is a bit different in nioh. It's honestly better used offensively to close gaps since it has no I frames like a souls dodge.

Blocking is what you want to use defensively.

Oh and once you get some decent gear the game is easy. Farm up some ghosts for good gear. Warrior of the West set is good early on, and pretty much every ghost will be wearing it.

This is what's killing me. And I guess it does have I frames, but at the start of the Dodge, and not the middle.

Edit: well, I looked it up and different sites are saying different things lol...
