I think I put close to 1000 hours into it before I finally set it down. They took a rare risk with the first game and went the cell shaded, humorous route and it worked so well, hence the cult following. Calling the series "Goddamn terrible" is ridiculous tbh. --- Ten million dollars on a losing campaign, Twenty million starving and writhing in pain.
