I was digging the first season but the second season has been kind of....meh.
Im on the 9th episode and Im kind of falling out of it. They explain sooo much in this show and every episode feels like a tutorial.

Yorknew is the only decent arc, other thar that only normies call it good because they've seen like 2 anime prior.

The only time I didn't like it was at the very beginning of the hunter exam. And even then I didn't dislike it, it was just...meh lol. It later gets more interesting but still not the hype everyone told me about.

For me it didn't get hype until near the end of the second arc, episode 35 or 36 Gon vs Hisoka, basically. Then it just kept going uphill from there. And yeah, I'm one of those that really, really, really fucking loved the Chimera Ant arc.

But yeah there's a lot of exposition. If you don't like it now you're going to hate it even more later. Personally I thought it added a lot to the action.

Yorknew was best, but it was solid at best. The Chimera Ant arc dragged on for ages and quite frankly, while I understand what they were trying to go for, the execution had me underwhelmed and flat out annoyed since the author had to pull some crap out of his behind to finish the arc.
