They obviously see more value in telling the story of Omega reclaiming his status as the best bout machine and the best wrestler in the world over the long term through TV and PPVs, and they're setting up PAC and Mox as guys who are a little bit ahead of him on the pecking order right now. It's not the way I would've done things, especially for a company like AEW who are courting people that want to see the best wrestler, or at least one of the best wrestlers, putting out MOTY candidates at the top of the card. But they'll get there I guess. Jericho absolutely should've won the title match as it was constructed. Page beating Jericho wouldn't have made Page, he's just not that over to their crowd. Not yet anyway. It just would've been a guy they're mild about going over one of the best wrestlers ever, a guy they're still hot to see as his career winds down. Neither Page nor Jericho are going to tear the house down, but as least Jericho is a guy people will be excited to see. AEW presenting itself as an alternative is more than about who is at the very top of the card. They've been up front about presenting a variety of high quality matches in a number of different styles.
