It seems like a trivial thing they just put out there and were like yea thats cool...and its not just manholes. Its also words like fireman and policeman. Doesnt seem like a big deal that took much time away from them. I agree with you that the manhole part is stupid, but its also like...who gives a shit why are people getting worked up over it lol.

Removing man from words is a bad idea. It is more effective and takes less work to solve the actual problem. Attach a prefix to man when referring to males. Man is now gender neutral. Problem solved. Only one word has to be changed and there's no need to look at the etymology of a word to determine what sort of man it has.

it's beyond saving. they would need to build countless amounts of apartment complexes throughout the state to lower rent prices. oregon has that rising rent issue as well used to have a 600$ apartment now it's 1k dollars a month.

it's beyond saving. they would need to build countless amounts of apartment complexes throughout the state to lower rent prices. oregon has that rising rent issue as well used to have a 600$ apartment now it's 1k dollars a month.

oregon solved the problem though they instituted rent control statewide so rents won't be high anymore
