I keep reading about this flag and the nike shoe being scrapped. "2020 Democrat candidate Beto ORourke claimed that the 1776 Betsy Ross flag was a symbol of white nationalism"

Oookay, so why did Obama have 2 absolutely massive ones hanging behind him during his 2nd inauguration?

The flag is not a symbol of white nationalism. Its a symbol of our founding. The ultimate goal of the left is get rid of the bill of rights and constitution. It takes baby steps to start painting anything created at that time as a negative.

For a couple decades far right groups have been using that flag. They use it in a lets go back to how things were back then sense, while when its used at something like an inauguration its paired with the current flag and together they represent our country and its history.

Its not about the flag itself. Its about the way it was used in some ad that pits anti-America Colin Kaepernick against patriot Trump and the Betsy Ross flag.

I was under the impression that they used Betsy Ross name because that was the very first U.S. flag, the OG, the foundation, not because it has any particular, special connection to white supremacy.
