I've said it before and i will say it again, there needs to be another video game crash. It did wonders in the 80's and made games better for the most part. Gaming has gone to shit, damn near evey FPS has a battle royal mode for some stupid reason, filled with lootboxes,microtransactions,etc.

I like how Rocket League did it, where you unlocked a lot of cosmetics in game and then could support the devs through MTX (since it was a cheap game anyway).
