I know these are vastly different games obviously.

Season passes in Destiny usually don't have anything for the next year afaik. Look up the names of whatever it includes and what comes out later this year.

I downloaded old school runescape on my phone and even bought a subscription but then something happened and I couldn't log into my account, change password wouldn't work, and support wouldn't get back to me. You'll get more out of FFXIV.

At this point FFXIV has like 200 hours of story content before you even get to the standard MMO grind. If you actually sit through the cutscenes like you're playing a normal FF it's a crazy value in terms of dollar investment.
