Been looking into it for a while. I think the value highly depends where you obtain the degree.

The average age of an MBA student is mid-30s, so you got that going for you.

I'm looking at a program that is in the 30s nationally for a public university. Currently in the non-profit sector, but want to move to a new career in the for-profit realm. Current role is very business-oriented.

I can pay for the entire thing out of savings, but damn, $30,000 is a lot to give away. That said, if it could potentially increase my earnings by $20,000+ a year, why not?

Most people I know who have done one have been that age or older. My mom did one in her 40s
