How do you go past a ramp instead of straight up it

I remember in THPS3 you can just hold forward on the stick but that doesn't seem to be the case here

Hold up but dont let go of Ollie. Your skater will simply pass over the lip of the ramp instead of air off it.

If you press up and let go of Ollie youll do a Nollie (No Comply in later THPS games).

Pretty sure it's still hold forward.

Try using the d-pad instead, it's better.

I don't think that ever changed, right?

If you held forward and let go of X, you would get air in any game, and if you held forward and held on to X, you would go forward in any game.
