It's not as bad as it sounds. It was 110+ the other day.

I've heard it's not that bad since the hotels are all well air conditioned, just don't spend too much time out walking on the strip

I only ever go in December tho because I hate desert summers

Ok cool. Do you know of any shops that I can only buy items made there? Something only able to be purchased in Nevada or Las Vegas?

I dunno you're interests but I'll try to cover most bases.

Food on the strip is mostly hot garbage or an incredibly awful deal. Yelp everything tbh. There are some great places to eat on the strip tho, like Joe's if you like seafood. You probably shouldn't go to a buffet during the day unless you want to feel like straight up sweaty shit for the rest of the night. Also, the only buffets worth a damn are the Bacchanal and Wicked Spoon. I like Wicked Spoon more.

If you're 20-30 years old you're going to like downtown way more than the strip, imo. Downtown is the shit. Great places to eat for a reasonable price, great bars, etc. Oddfellows is a dope alt-lifestyle kinda bar emo/pop punk kinda people go there. Corduroy is another popular one right now. Rebar is trash and the owner is a pos dont go there. Goldspike is also trash but loveable trash that you'll want to check out at least once. they have games in the back to play.

If you're willing to go off strip, Forte is my favorite restaurant here. Itll probably be a $30 uber just to get there though. Eastern European tapas, pretty pricey but worth it.

Uhhhhh if you watch any shows go to either Beatles Love or Zumanity. Those are my two favorite Cirque shows, I havent seen Ka or MJ tho but I've heard good things. The rest are good tho.

Dont really go to strip clubs but the ones with alcohol arent fully nude if that's a deal breaker lol I went to one when I was 18 (little darlings) and it was a pretty trashy place. Heard sapphire is cool though.

Dont get in the pool at any of the day clubs unless you want a fucking infection.

Pinball Hall of Fame is dope. Another $20+ uber ride tho.

The worlds largest gift shop is at the north end of the strip, you'll want to stop there for souvenirs.

Zak Bagans Haunted Museum is a trip if you're genuinely into paranormal shit or if you like to make fun of it, or if you're somewhere in between. Been twice for free, both times were great.

Sorry for this word vomit of a post. Let me know if you have any specific interests and I can probably point you in the right direction.

I really appreciate your post. It helps when it comes from a local. I'll definitely check out the haunted museum. Plus I'm 30, so I'll probably hit up downtown as suggested. Thanks again. If you can think of anything else let me know!

Do everything he said. Strip is a tourist trap thats okay your first time. The haunted museum is expensive but one of the few things in Vegas worth the money. Def try to see a show in Vegas. Again a little expensive but shows are worth it

For the best steak, go to Herbs and Rye about 10 minutes from the strip. If you go during happy hour steaks are half off. One of the best steaks youll ever eat for like 15 bucks if you get a ny strip even

I assume you're from the South like I am. Imagine a wonderful 71 degree day outside with a cool breeze where the only heat you feel is from the sun directly hitting you. That's dry heat. None of this sweating in the shade with the air so thick that you feel like you're swimming. Yeah the temp out there hits 100 degrees regularly but it'll feel about 80 degrees iyo.

Only thing to caution you about in dry heat areas, you dehydrate much quicker so drink plenty of water. Also once that sun sets, it'll feel like it's in the 50s. Pack warmer clothes for night time.

Looks legit. I'll make it a stop. I'm there Friday - Sunday so if you're down to meet up and show me around I'll get you a couple of rounds.
