the last half of season 3 was poorly adapted and even though the manga stayed about the same quality, the anime has dropped a bit in my estimation.

Even in the manga the License Exam is the weakest arc the series has had so far, so they kind of had to work with what they had. Also even being the weakest I still wouldn't say it's bad Gang Orca is great, Inasa and Todoroki teaming up still good and then of course after that Deku vs Bakugo 2 is fantastic

I would argue that the addition of tea girl and the love puzzle thingy episodes really brought it down. Both absolute dross. I agree it's the weakest arc anyway but the fact there's a good two and a half episodes which could and I'd argue should be skipped by anyone is a big problem. Filler like that is the reason I stay away from most long-running shounen adaptations.

Oh I disagree about the love episode, I actually thought that was fun filler. And the reason for it was that Japan was doing a charity week thing in which shows either 1. Didn't air anything or 2. Made a special episode for the charity, so I thought it was pretty neat that instead of just skipping the week they decided to put in the extra work for an episode

Aonuma showed off the trailer for new BOTW DLC content and we had some Pokemon stuff revealed when Matsuda showed up.

Though for games this year it's Yu Suzuki and Yoshi-P, but what can they really announce for Shenmue and FFXIV?

But I think in recent years JX is more for nostalgia and AX has more current trends with outliers here and there.
