I've got nothing against Democrats btw.

But the thing is, everyone is moving to TX because the liberal thing didn't work in their state. They wanted to move here because the cost of living is cheaper because we are Republican, so they are clearly not okay with the Democratic beliefs. And if you're one of the people who moved to TX and voted Democrat, why would you waste your time moving yourself, your car, your belongings down here, finding a new job, and leaving everything you know behind just to end up back where you started?

Never understood it.

EDIT

The thing to learn from this whole Texas thing is that voting Democrat raises your living costs.

No, they are moving to the big cities because that's what most people from out of state want. I think it's funny how none of them want to go close to the border though. Lol it's still Texas.

Also, it's the people from out of state that are turning those places liberal. That's why the taxes in Austin are so high.

Eh politics are rigged. That's why we have the electoral vote.

The electoral vote actually causes an imbalance in the value of people's votes, giving more worth and representation to votes in lesser-populated states than votes in higher populated states.

Wyoming:
- 3 votes
- ~577,000 people
- 577,000/3 = Each electoral college vote represents 192,333.333 people
Texas:
- 38 votes
- ~28 million people
- 28,000,000 / 38 = Each electoral college vote represents 736,842.105 people.

If the electoral college was actually balanced, Texas should have a lot more electoral college votes based on how many people live there.

Yeah, pretty much every company has jobs people do but would rather not be doing. Google has people working on reviewing Youtube videos that break their ToS, specifically looking at death and dismemberment and other things... Those people have reportedly been getting depressed because of their job... That doesn't mean people don't want to work for Google as a whole, though.

Yep. If the democrat thing is working, why are people leaving those areas? Austin is Liberal, but it's in a state that is, at this point, mostly republican.

And I'm not saying I'm strictly Republican. Gay marriage, Abortion, Obamacare, those are all great things. But given the choice between voting for that and paying high taxes, or voting for low taxes and being able to have enough money to support myself, I would rather vote for the low taxes.
