I always thought the term was stupid to begin with. For starters white is a color as well so everyone is a person of color, it's just a matter of which color. Second it was always used to refer to black people and only black people, but now it seems to be making some sort of comeback but being used for everyone not white. I find it especially stupid when its used for Asians considering they are just as pale as white people. Northern Asians anyway.

A person of color is someone who does not present as white or benefit from white privilege. The term Person of Color came around because using the term Colored People or calling someone Colored is a throwback to the days of segregation. Hope this helps.
