Only thing I straight up disliked about it was how they changed Zora movement. Ruined that mask. Oh, and having only specific spots that you could ice arrow was stupid as fuck.

Boss changes were a mixed bag imo. At least Goht kept the spirit of the original fight, it would have been an outrage if they got rid of chasing him down as a Goron. I like the concepts of the changed Twinmold fight, but the execution felt lacking. Still probably overall like it more than the original fight though. Odalwa was a straight downgrade from fun sword fight type boss to standard, formulaic and boring. Gyorg was never a good boss to begin with, and this fight somehow was even worse.

Don't recall anything else I particularly minded.

The Zora movement in the 3DS was different/worse? I don't recall having any problems with it. I've also heard people complain about how they ice arrows which wasn't a big deal to me. it was a bit unnecessary perhaps but shooting ice arrows at water was never one of the more standout parts of the game or anything anyways. The only boss fight I ever gave a crap about was Goht's and that one was still great. While the Twinmold battle was a bit awkward in the 3DS version, atleast they made that battle into...something...

I dunno, as someone who considers MM his favorite Zelda game and a top 3 G.O.A.T, I still greatly enjoyed the 3DS version.

The Zora change isn't great. Past that, it's a lot of QoL changes that purists got mad at.

MM is my favorite Zelda game and I loved it on both N64 and 3DS.

It kinda boggles my mind, since the OoT3D version is an upgrade in almost every way. That's because they left everything that worked alone and only refined some of the old clunky mechanics (like boot swapping and aiming)

They could have done the exact same thing with MM3D and it would have been perfect, but as it is...meh

I was also a little disappointed they didn't give Majora's Mask a Master Quest treatment or something. At the end of the day, it's still a great game, but this is a case where I'd say the original is better than the remake.

I always get called out for trolling for this but I'll say it once again. It's a handheld these are meant for kids. It's easier to make it easier for kid gamers, the guy says it countless of times that they toned it down for "new gamers" that's so he doesn't say kids....the displays at stores are always low for handhelds....I can give more examples but after all this time I'm just tired and lazy about pointing out any of this anymore

I played both versions. They're both fine, but this is one of those cases where the remake isn't inherently better than the original. The changes to accessibility and the bosses put it about on par with the original due to the actual improvements.

I loved MM 3DS but I didn't play the original. The ice arrow and zora changes are dumb but I don't care about the rest.

Also, the graphics are SO MUCH BETTER in the 3DS version. The environments are absolutely gorgeous. Some of the coolest environments I've ever seen in a game, which is surprising considering it's just a 3Ds game.

OoT Water Temple is very unpopular among a large portion of the Zelda fanbase. I didn't mind it personally, but it's probably the most complained-about thing in a Zelda game.

Bullshit. If something was hard if only due to the limitations at the time or was just straight up cheap, change that shit!

Besides, making the boots into C items when you have to constantly put them on and off in certain temples was SOO helpful. I don't even mind that change.
