I'm not quite full time working from home but my job is flexible to the point that I can basically work at home any day I want and I love it. I can see why it wouldn't be for some people but I manage to stay productive and it makes the day go so much quicker

Only thing I really miss is the work banter

Its been the opposite, Ive been eating healthier. There is no junk food at my house. Unlike at the office where we had vending machines and all sorts of junk food in our kitchen. And my coworkers had snacks in their drawers that I would raid.

That's the dream, isn't it? Working from home isn't for everyone, though. One of the faculty at our university works from home and she hates it. She feels caged in her house as she's not very social and work used to be the only real reason for her to get out.

That's definitely something I'd love to do one day, though. The wife and I plan to have our own kids soon and I'd love to see them more often when I do have them as my work schedule has me out of the house a lot on trips.

I'd love to just work at my own pace from the house, like I used to when I was an online student at university.

Thats how my old job was. Id work from home like once a month or so. Sometimes more depending on if I had medical stuff. I feel more productive as well.

I do also miss office banter. But Ive been keeping in touch with so many people from my last job, so I have lunch with someone at least once a week.

My wife worked from home for a period of time at her old job and she used to do her work naked (since she sleeps naked and keeps her laptop on the stand next to the bed). But one day she randomly got a spontaneous video call request and she had to decline it since she couldn't get dressed in time. She started dressing after that, lol.

I get to remote 1 maybe 2 days a week, and I usually never ask I just do it.

For me I commute 2 - 2.5 hours a day so telecommuting is just more efficient use of my time. I truly wish I could convince management to allow a solid 2 days a week minimum telecommute.

I've proven I'm networked in all the time and manage all my business and than some. However, some of the older managers just don't totally realize the value in remote work.

Granted I imagine a lot of people abuse it so I'm sure managers are weary of opening that box.

How is the booty fitness going?

Not very good. My neck injury has been acting up to the point that Ive been waking up in terrible pain every morning and having migraine headaches. I think its hormonal (time of the month stuff) and just waiting for it to subside before I can hit the gym again.

As far as I can currently tell... tech support for some health care related software. It really hinges on what they're willing to pay as I have another interview with a different company on Monday, so we'll see.

Well make sure to factor other things, like what you would be saving in gas, food, etc. I was taking the toll road to go to work every day and it was getting expensive. I was also eating out for lunch every day. Also this job pays me the same as my last job but theres a lot more opportunity for career growth and that was really important to me.

Its easy to get into but definitely a risk. A lot of sales jobs will advertise how much money you can make but then you see all these barriers once you start. I quit two jobs within 3 months of starting because I realized it was BS. Then I took on a commission only job. Money was sparse the first 3 months but once I built my business, I made $85k in 9 months. Then I moved on to another company and just kept going from there.

Its not something that you hit the ground running on but if youre dedicated you can do really well for yourself. I was lucky to be in a position where my husband had a stable job and I can take the risk.

This is me. If I didn't leave home for work I'd probably go bananas.

I also probably wouldn't get much work done comparatively because I'd be surrounded by things in my life that distract me, such as video games.

I'm glad you're enjoying it Cleo.

Yeah I need social interaction too. But I networked so much at my last job, lots of people want to keep in touch. So I have a lunch planned with someone every week. Some are my old coworkers that Im friends with, and others are former clients in the area that just want to keep in touch.

I havent had time for video games in weeks. I dont have a hard time focusing on my work for the most part, because of that drive to make a sale and not get fired lol. In my field, I cant get away without good numbers.

My line of work is very different in that regard. As a safety consultant, the less higher ups hear from me, the better. :p
