i played it in the remastered version & it honestly wasnt all that bad, the blowdart guys were really not a big deal and the boss at the end was very easy

Like a lot of things it isnt, when prepared.

A lot of people probably go in with no purple moss blossoms. So they get tagged with darts and go well I guess Ill die . Then throw in precarious footing, darkness, and navigating in 3 dimensions and theres a recipe for difficulty.

yea i went in not prepared at all. after the first blow dart guy i knew to look out for them and they were kind of a non issue (esp since when you kill them they dont respawn). other than that i just tanked the poison most of the time, i did die a bunch but i eventually learned the bonfire locations and it was just a matter of chugging estus as i ran from one to another. same with the boss, i was fully poisoned while fighting

Blighttown in its first iteration was annoying because of the massive drop in frame rate. That's why it's notorious.

Well... my first playthrough of the original Dark Souls on the 360 I'm ashamed to admit I rage quit at Blighttown. The framerate and the blow dart guys was the final straw for me. Framerate would drop to single digits and I didn't realize the blowdart guys didnt respawn.

When I went through it on the Remaster I loved it. I found it challenging but not over the top. I didnt find it as hard as Sen's Fortress, Tomb of the Giants, Anor Londo, or the New Londo Ruins. The framerate increase made the difficulty tolerable and once I found out the blow dart guys didnt respawn I went around killing them first. It's not that bad once they are dead.

I'm actually playing through DS3 for the first time in years now Butter. I never did the DLCs solo so I'm doing them now. Beat the Ashes of Ariandel one a couple days ago and like halfway through Ringed City.
