saspa 06/18/19 3:07:49 PM #1:	I'm not sure why they decided to have vocals this time, I liked how Symphonia and Abyss openings had just the orchestral versions without vocals. Abyss in particular is one I really liked. Not remotely an issue though, just random musings whilst playing the game. Anyway starting the game and so far... the game looks incredibly vibrant, colorful, and cartoony. It reminds me a lot of Eternal Sonata, which came out just before Vesperia. At times the character designs look too simply drawn but I love how cartoony and colorful it looks. My biggest wtf... the purple haired girl on the cover... *is actually a guy??!!* Even Luke didn't look as girly as that, and he had an exposed midriff! The deep voice that accompanied this purple haired Yuri chap (I'm positive that's a girl's name, doesn't yuri mean girl even?) caught me completely off guard and doesn't fit the character's looks at all. I went into Vesperia completely fresh so not sure if this was a common topic 11 years ago when the game came out. The GC version of Symphonia used some stock song they had on hand, and it sucked. Abyss removed the lyrics entirely, but at least it stayed in since there's motifs of the song in like 4 other tracks. Ring a bell in vesperia is great in Japanese, doesn't work too well with the translated lyrics since it basically is reason enough for people to ship YurixFlynn. Then again, compare that with the opening from Graces and well, suddenly we had to debate whether or not Richard was best girl. I played Abyss, which is longer, and Symphonia which is about the same. But this one, I just don't care anymore lol. I feel like maybe I just don't like the characters enough to want to see the ending. ~~I just finished turning Phaeroh and the rest into spirits .~~ Do I have much longer? And yeah agreed TC about Yuri. He's one of the most feminine looking dude MCs they've ever done, but it absolutely doesn't match up with his personality (which I guess is interesting?) It def takes some getting used to. If you can't get used to it, there's a DLC costume he can use that gives him a man bun that makes him look much better IMO.
