I tried watching some of it, but when *spoilers for the first or second episode* the one psycho raped the dude to death with a bladed dildo, or something like that, I knew that the show wasn't for me.

I only liked the first two seasons, I stopped watching entirely about midway through the 5th season and never had any interest in trying it again, or future seasons.

The thing about this show is that the first 80% is usually a lot of fun despite varying quality, but it shits the bed hard during the second half, but mostly in the last 1-2 episodes every time

Even Apocalypse, Cult and Roanoke were fun, but the endings were horrid.

Especially last season, when the first couple of episodes were amazing and the ending was literally Princess Leia's daughter going back in time and running over the Antichrist with her fucking car.

Apocalypse had a great episode with the Return to Murder House ep that the finale made completely pointless because it never happened now. I doubt anyone went back to dig up poor Moira's bones.

That's not what makes it terrible because Asylum had 1000 different plot threads and it was great. What later seasons suffer with is making up new plot threads out of thin air because it makes for a good commercial, then dropping it quickly and anticlimactically.

I finally quit after the first episode of Hotel. I wasn't enjoying the majority of the show to begin with and as mentioned earlier, even the pretty good seasons shat the bed in the end. First season was pretty good. Asylum was pretty dang good. The circus one was alright for a while. The witch one was good and then shit. I think that was all of them before Hotel.

It takes a LOT to make me quit a show too.

I think the first half or so are pretty damn good. It's also a solid premise. But boy, about 4 or so episodes from the finale it just felt like everyone was just dying and coming back and nothing even mattered.

Honestly, the characters were all fine. Well, except Zoe and that moronic Frankenstein boyfriend plot. I think that's why Coven gets so much love.

Coven is just the epitome of throwing away interesting plotlines. War between the witches and the voodoo queen? Nah. Madame LaLaurie? Not much there. Witch hunters trying to wipe them out? Who cares? Nah, the real plotline is about the next Supreme. That's where the meat is. Ugh.

I had more of a problem with the dialogue. I couldn't even keep track of how many shitty, cringey one liners were used. Also, the concept of death was pointless so there was never a reason to give a fuck about what happened to any of the characters because you could just assume they'd be brought back one way or another.

I didnt hate hotel. There were issues, sure... especially as the season went on. But I remember coming out of the season somewhat amused which is more than I could say about the few seasons before it.

Freak show & Hotel are my favorite seasons.
Season 1 was pretty good too but it should've ended at episode 12. It had a season finale feel to it and the last episode wasn't really needed.

Could've tacked the Michael scene on to episode 12 and been a fine ending.

This is true of Roanoke too btw. The season's pretty good for about half or so, decent/alright for the rest, and then the last episode is just wtf in how unneeded it is.

Freak Show is the only season I genuinely hated. Other than Dandy, I didn't find any of the characters relatable or likeable. I also thought the story was boring.
