Yes.

I already own them all and I cant wait for 1 to rerelease on Switch. Hopefully 2 follows since they seem to be refusing to bring it Stateside on PS4 even though its been out in Japan forever.

I've played only the fan translated Super Famicom version of Star Ocean and Star Ocean: The Second Story. Overall I'd say they're good and with an interesting story. The first Star Ocean was definitely amazing for its time.

EDIT: Oh. So that's what Star Ocean: First Departure is. After Second Story I didn't keep up with the series so wasn't aware.

Yeah, they were only on PSP but SO1 is getting rereleased on Switch and hopefully SO2 soon after.

When it comes to Star Ocean the games are shit until the sequel comes out then the game that was shit for some twisted logic (at least with SOs fanbase) turns into a classic.
