Comparisons tend to be made to OoT, and then later A Link To The Past when the OoT backlash began to hit. * Time passes, and fans eventually warm up to the game they ragged on for so long. Calls for a remaster mount. * New Zelda is announced. Fans clamor for a new "hardcore" Zelda title. OoT fanboys ragged on Wind Waker for being too cartoony when it came out. Twilight Princess was railed on when it launched on the Wii, with a contingent standing by the Gamecube version. Skyward Sword didn't even get past Phase 3.
