So the last few weeks I've had discomfort in what really feels like my right testicle or the immediate areas around it.

During the week it feels okay because i sit all day at my job. The weekends are brutal though because I'm on my feet alot. I'll have to sit down just to get a little relief. I probably need to go to a doctor but I'm not sure what they'll do.

So what did it feel like? Was it discomfort that led you to go to the doctor and discover it?

that's a huge red flag actually, discomfort instead of pain.

I hate looking this stuff up online. All signs point to me going to a doctor, even if it's not a serious issue

Go to the doctor. It might be epididymis, which is easily curable.

A lot of people just go through the pain hoping it will go away.

but this basically might be a slow-moving freight train. all the warning and time in the world to not get fucking wrecked by it.

reading shit online is the worst thing you can do.

eh. not if it freaks you out and gets you seeking an actual opinion.

CE will tell you to go to a doctor for literally anything, it's annoying.

However, if your balls have been hurting for weeks I'd get that checked out. Something like a day or two I wouldn't worry about weeks sounds at least somewhat concerning.

Honestly the one that i found that most matched my symptoms wasn't that serious an issue, but i have to go to the doctor to get it fixed if it's that

At this point i feel like i gave it enough time to go away on it's own.

Had my right one taken a little over a year ago. It is a bitch.

The thing that frustrated me was how long everything seemed to take. First, the primary thought it was epididymitis, so we tried like a month of antibiotics. Then, sent me to get an ultrasound, which was about 3 weeks waiting for an appointment. Then, I get sent to a urologist, another few weeks of waiting. The urologist, after about 15 seconds of inspecting, says it looks like cancer. They don't have ultrasound results yet, so they want me back in week.

So, in the meantime, I get some blood tests to look for tumor markers, which surprisingly come back negative, but the ultrasound does show cancer. So, a week after my 2nd urologist appointment, I went in for surgery.

All in all, the time from first seeing the primary to the surgery almost 5 months. So, I was a little surprised when they told me that it was caught so early that I didn't need chemo, just regular surveillance. I have my first CT after passing the one year mark later this month.

So far, so good. I think I annoy my oncologist, though. Everything that's even a little bit off on my labs or scans, I'm questioning him about. But both he and my primary are telling me I'm fine, so I must be. I'm hoping the endless worrying gets lesser with time.

But, getting back to how it felt... it was discomfort. First noticed was that when sitting, and moving, it would feel uncomfortable. I didn't have any unusual lumps, but the whole right testicle felt harder than the left.

So get it checked. It's most likely something minor, but if it isn't, better to know early.

Oh, and talk2DaHand, great to hear you hit 10 years! It's awesome hearing about guys that far out.

Thanks for taking the time to write this out. Crazy it took so long. You'd think with cancer they would want to move quick. Glad things are okay and hoping that you remain in the clear.

No problem. I know I was freaking out a bit when it all started happening to me, so I figured it couldn't hurt for you to hear from a few people who've been there before.

So get yourself checked out, and try not to worry too much. It's probably nothing serious, and even if it is, you'll still most likely be okay.

I wouldn't worry about that too much tc. I had to get a catheter and stayed at the hospital for a week and honestly after only a few days you start to not give a shit for who sees your junk.

From what I've read on that, it sounds WAY more painful and serious than what I'm experiencing. We'll see.
